WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

The land was allotted in the function held by DDA through the hand of Shri Buta Singh then Housing Minister in the year 1980.
The parameter of land allotment was one Acre for 60 members, since we were having 75 members, we therefore allotted 1.25 Acre of land.
The cost of land allotted to us DDA was Rs 556462.56 vide their letter F/532cs/DDA date 02/02/1982.Each member was asked to deposit Rs 10000/ by 25/02/1982. Perpetual lease deed was executed between DDA and Kohinoor Co Operative Group Housing Society on 25th February 1986 singed by then President Mr Arun Agarwal.
Initially, the registered office was situated at 111A Kamla Nagar Delhi, later it shifted to F14/7 Model Town Delhi, the resident of then President Mr Arun Agarwal.
The main activities of the society started after the new committee formed and they took charge in the general body meeting held on 4th Jan 1986. A chowkidar was appointed @200/pm to take care of the plot. The executive committee’s first visit to the site on 22/02/1986. The member of the society visited the site First time on18/04/1986, followed by a lunch at hotel Ranjit New Delhi.

With a thorough discussion and completing all statutory /legal requirement, it almost took a year to appoint an Architect and Builder. As all the member belong to SBI, so arraignment of fund (loan) to all 75 members was a herculious task at that time. Foundation was laid on 17/04/1987 by then Chief General Manager of SBI Shri Bharat Bhattacharya.
The draw of lots was held on 13/03/1990.The possession was started on 19th March,1990. Full possession was completed in 1992.
It’s a unique constructed without a pillar and beam, still Society structure considered best building in entire I P Extension.
